Concrete Tile to Corrugate Reroof on Two Connected Houses

0.55 BMT COLORCOTE® ZinaCore corrugate, Scoria

Two connected houses converted from concrete tile to corrugate in two stages, with scaffolding set up in the pool between them.

A concrete tile to long-run metal roof conversion in Westmere, on two houses side by side with the same owner. The houses are joined by a membrane roof, with a pool between them.

The new roof is 0.55 BMT COLORCOTE® ZinaCore corrugate in Scoria, roll-formed by Dimond Roofing.

Site access was tight, and working around the pool meant extra health and safety measures. The scaffolders had to get into the pool to set up part of the scaffolding.

We set up the whole site at once and did the work in two stages, one house first and then the other. Both roofs have unusual shapes.

We reused the existing VELUX skylights, fitting new flashing kits to suit the change from concrete tile to long-run steel. Some of the junctions between roofs needed their own detail flashings.

We also coordinated with the builder, who completed weatherboard details as part of the work.

Working across two houses side by side made this a fun job for the team.
